October 12-13 *UPDATED*
« on: September 30, 2013, 03:59:31 PM »
*EDITED TO REFLECT THE WANTS OF THE PEOPLE!*
Will work the Ozark Overland Trail from east to west. 6 vehicles max, first 6 PMs to me gets their stake. We will not complete the OzOT in its entirety in this time frame.

For the sake of preserving my beloved Ozark Overland Trail, no tracking or recording devices are allowed to record. Recording will ban you from trips forever. Yes, Forever!

You'll probably get scratches and the like as most trails are still rather overgrown. Not sure whether anything is passable in honesty.

Rear locker is minimum requirement vehicle wise. Don't have locker(s)? You won't make it. Even built FJCs and JKs have had their fun on some ledges along this route. PM me if you need more convincing.

I have had a 100 series up all of this, but current conditions will make the final decision.

Can I make this with my trailer?

Also, where are y'all camping on the 11th? Can I roll in late?

Yes, a trailer will fit. Atleast it did last time.

I'm probably staying with family, but lake dardenelle state park is close and beautiful.

Think I misunderstood your question... I have no clue. So much depends on current conditions. I'll look it over and see if I can find a few spots and rank them from likely to least likely.

I think there's only about a 10% chance I can make this. I'm going to prep for it though, just in case.

I hope there's some more trips in Nov.

Really wish I could make this, but I'll be in Nola for the weekend. Pissed....

Hey Jayston,  if you don't get anymore movement on this one is there a chance you could extend this one to include Friday as well?  I've cleared the whole weekend (since it was originally a 3 day) and would like to camp 2 nights.  Anyone else?

Thanks.

This is tempting.  Not sure if I have the time or not.  Where is the meet point for the start and what time would you need to be there?

October 12th at 7:30 am at the woolum campground, if the shutdown isn't still in place.

Depending on how many go the route may change.

With the doubtful state of our current administration we may be blocked out of Woolum campground. Who is planning to camp Friday night?
