I run a 06 LJ Rubicon and will be pulling a Bantam trailer with roof top tent and all our gear. Any issues pulling a trailer on this route? My LJ has 32" Duratracs, a winch and the nut behind the wheel has years of wheeling and trailer experience.  :P

So will I be ok with no snorkel and pulling my trailer or should I find another trail? I am not terribly opposed to a snorkel I just can't bring myself to cut a big a$$ hole in the fender of a really clean LJ Rubi! Jeep is riding on 2.5" OME lift, 1.25" BL and 32" tires.

I feel ya on cutting holes.  I'd go to cert-fit and buy a cheapo reproduction fender. Plastidip it, cut a hole for a snorkel on trips.  Swap it out when you want

I will drive around deep water if I can. I will not risk vehicle damage by driving into water of unknown depth. I realize there are times when traversing a stream and the front tire drops in an unseen hole and the hood drops. This is my biggest concern.

I don't want to cut the fender and the wife doesn't like the look of a snorkel so it's settled.  :D

The secret to not getting into too deep of water is not going first time.  I am really debating getting a snorkel.  I have laid my Jeep over more than once and I have ripped the antenna of the side of my Jeep.  Not sure if a snorkel will hold up for me?

Last year I broke my exhaust on the trail, We weren't going over anything rough either.

5 weeks away.  I'm slowly shifting into overland gear. Never done this before, so I guess I'll start with making the jeep livable. Reinstall the windshield, install some sort of storage tray in the back and maybe even balance the tires!

How much of each day is spent in the vehicle?  Sun up to sun down,  8 hrs? 6hrs? Are we on dirt 100% of the time? Should I be concerned with fuel?  Any food recommendations?

Anything additional I should be thinking about other than vehicle, sleeping, and food? Is fuel a concern? Ham or CB?

I heard about this route through the grapevine and would love to run it with guys who have been through it before. I have a '13 JKU Rubi and I'm looking forward to meeting you guys.

Can you guys recommend a campground near Dover? I'm driving down from Kansas City on Thursday and will camp the night before we meetup.

Any chance you have video's on YouTube reviewing jeep pets like seat covers?

Yep! I produce the Berserker Offroad YouTube channel. It's neat that you've heard of it.

My seat cover purchase may have been persuaded in some amount by that video.

That's awesome! I enjoy feedback like that.

Are you still going on this trip at the end of the month? I'm trying to find out more info but this thread has been pretty quiet.

Jayston, the guy putting it on, has been working feverishly on the Overland Challenge Series, which he is hosting this weekend.  I suspect he'll pop in here sometime next week to give updates...
