FB is the new place but I dont FB unless it involves me throwing a book at someones face  :D :D I check in here from time to time and the OverlandBound forum see whats happening if the rain ever quits I would love to get out and venture more but its all I can handle keeping the cows dry now

FB has become the instant fix for a lot of junkies. I prefer to read through the archives. So much good information is lost in the swamps of FB.  It is the new runner, but I guess I'm just OLD?!?!?!?!
I say this as an admin of a 2600+ closed group.

I have used all of those files.  cleaned them up in Google Earth and loaded into the map.me app and haven't looked back.  Good stuff!!!

Im new to this type of recreational activity as well. I am on the look out for a local group that goes on trips explorering, so far I have come up empty handed. I know about the Hot Springs park and have been a couple of times with my sxs but I am wanting to explorer other areas of the state.

I tried to go naturalstateoverland.org and the site does not load. Is this a new site that has not been loaded yet? or is it down?

Overall, I'm not sure what it is about these files that maps and caltopo don't like, however you can still open in Google Earth.  So I would open in Google Earth and export to whatever format is best for you...

Man that's awesome.  Sounds like a good time and it's fall break for my boy so I'm already off work.  I may have to start gearing up for this. (I need all new camping gear....my now ex wife slowly sold so my stuff...
