I just ran it with some friends a few weeks back. Words of caution bring lots of recovery gear including multiple winches and be prepared for damage. The trail is completely washed out and almost impassible. Also plan on normal 8 hours taking 12-16. Depends on your rig and experience. To be honest I won't be back and not much without 33s will make it past the first few miles now.

I am running another trip into the Ozarks the above dates.  Currently have 3-6 people with a variety of vehicles.  You can come out to one of the days, all of the days or a portion of the days.  We have a variety of vehicles, as long as you have 32in tires or larger you will be fine.  Prefer 33s.  We will be camping primitive out of our trucks (Overland) so be prepared for weather, etc.  If your interested email me or pm me through the website ASAP.  Hope others can make it!

Heading out into the Ozarks with 3 other trucks this weekend.  Looks like it may rain, but that wont scare us.  Arriving late at camp on Friday night and also camping Sat and Sunday nights heading home early Monday morning.  Nothing to extreme.  If your interested pm or email me topgun15v@   .  ( I misspelled on purpose).

Craftsman, I would also start by googling some outdoor scenic areas around you.  Try National Forests, or parks, as most of their roads are easily visible through google earth, etc and you can pick your route based upon the scenic area you have chosen.  Most importantly, have fun and be safe.

Good luck in the search.

Ok, so I just got the approval from my boss to stay and work in Bentonville on Friday with the opportunity to cut out after lunch.

Slaw, I was thinking maybe a day trip or a one night trip leaving Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.  I have to leave the area to head home Sunday no later than 9am.  I am open to suggestions and am flexible; however I have very limited knowledge of the area.

No worries, I know how hectic life can be especially with work.  Even if its last minute let me know, I am some what flexible and would love to spend some time outdoors even if its just a night or two.

My work has me traveling to Bentonville the week of Jan 26th.  I was contemplating taking Friday off and staying up there that weekend doing a few trails in Arkansas.  I also want to test out my new Icon lift!  Anyone interested?  I am not very familiar with the area and also do not have a winch so I will not go alone.  Prefer some additional trucks.  Let me know.

Trip went very good and the only damage we had was breaking the rear housing of the trailer hitch 5pin connector on the rear of my taco.  Found a few new trails, creek crossings, some scenic areas, and a few areas closed.  For the most part we stayed out of the other hunters ways, and ended up missing a huge storm Saturday night while up on the Ktrail fire Tower.

I must say, I am very impressed at what a stock tacoma can do.  Only limitations are lack of clearance front and rear (soon to be fixed with icon lift) and it is not very good in the mud given stockers =).  I am however very impressed with the strength of the Rugged Trail tires.  Many people i have read hate them.  I had them aired down to about 25 a tire and they performed very well on the rocks without one cut or chunk to them.  Aired up 75mph home without one issue.

My buddy Randy and his family enjoyed the trip as well, and we will be back in the area after hunting season to scout a few cool trails we couldn't make it to in time.

If anyone wants to brave the cold and rain this weekend, me and a buddy on here are going to explore the Ouichita Nat forest starting in Arkansas near Shady Lake.  We may head back into Oklhoama near the K-trail depending on time, hunters, road closures, and weather.  If anyone is interested let me know.  We are meeting up near Shady lake @ 1:00pm on Friday.  Stock TRD Taco and Lifted JK Rubi.
