Title: Tent Recommendations
Post by: arveetek on February 06, 2016, 10:43:01 AM
Usually my family likes to camp in a travel trailer, but since our camper was stolen out of our driveway last summer (older uninsured camper), we are left without shelter for our camping trips.

We're planning on a Colorado trip this summer, and we're looking for recommendations for a good quality tent that sleeps 4.  The main things we're looking for is something we can stand up inside, and something that sets up and tears down quickly.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Casey

Can't help on particular models since I use 2-person tents, but I'm a huge fan of Big Agnes tents. I have their Wyoming Trail SL2 and it's great with its large vestibule. Looking at their website, the Wyoming Trail 4 could be a good option for you. It looks like they took two of my tent and faced them towards each other to make a large vestibule between two separate two-person sleeping areas. Having that covered space to stage packs and boots is really handy.

You're the second person to recommend Big Agnes to me.

I've been told their Big House 6 is a good option as well:

I ended up with a used Eureka three-season 6-person tent.  Fits our family of 4 quite nice, and held up to a severe thunderstorm with 60 + mph winds as well!!
